This morning was no other than any other morning, Fleur and I got up, had breakfast, got ourselves ready and walked to the reception. We met Steve there and he had a choice for us today. We could work in the coffee house for the day or at the maintenance department. We weren't really sure what to choose, so we asked Steve what he thought would be the best thing to do for the day. Because of the nice weather, Steve said that it would be better to do maintenance. Though he wasn't sure if there was any work to do for the day in the maintenance department. He went away for a couple of seconds and then came back saying that we had a change of plans. We would actually be doing stuff in the coffee house for the day because there wasn't so much work to do at maintenance.

We went over to The Country Club and met Millie there. She was really nice to us and told us that it wasn't so busy in the coffee house either but that she would try to find some things for us to do, to keep us busy. Later another girl came, Anna. She was also really nice to us. They were very spontaneous and they were also really interested in us. We told them a lot about Holland and we talked about the differences between the island and Holland. There are actually more differences than you would think there would be. Like their school system is very different and they are more strict than we are in Holland. Besides talking, Millie and Anna also showed us how to make coffee with the coffee machine. I found it kind of hard at first but it got better. During the day it wasn't so busy so we had time to organize the storage, where all the food is and the drinks. We made it look tidy and got everything out of the boxes. When we were done with that we also counted all the stuff we had just got out of the boxes. I kind of liked it because I like organizing stuff and keeping it tidy.
After this task, we worked in the kitchen and cut the tomatoes and the cucumber for the salad. Afterwards Millie and Anna told us to have a break so we went for a break at our cottage and ate something.
When we came back at the coffee house Steve and Jane were having a lunch so we made coffee for them and served their food. We also washed the salad in the kitchen.

So basically we did a lot of different stuff and talked a lot with Anna and Millie. It was a really nice day, I enjoyed it so much. I also learned a couple of new things like making coffee and organizing the cutlery in serviettes because there was kind of a technique for it.

After we were done working we went to have a cream tea at Chessel Pottery and after that we went to The Isle of Wight Pearl store and we walked along the beach. We also went to drink something in a village called Godshill and later on we went to get some fish and chips. It was a very nice day overall.

Tomorrow is going to be the last day of our internship. I just can't believe it, this week passed so fast. I wish I could go back in time.
